One-day Day trek to Thalamalai

Trek Program

Date: Sunday, July 23rd Sunday 2017

Place: Thalamalai

Location: Off Trichy-Namakkal Highway approx – 70 kms from Trichy (2 hour drive time)

Trek difficulty level: Easy

Recommended for 1st timers as a fitness test

Approx time : ascent – 3 hours, descent – 2 hours

Terrain: Footpath, sparse vegetation ,open to sky in most areas, and rough stone steps

in the last stretch.

Trekkers Program

1. Assemble outside Campion School, Cantonment – 5.30 am (For enroute pickup please contact your Van in charge)

2. Leave Trichy – 6 am

3. Breakfast at foothills – 7.30 am

4. Start trek – 8.30 am

5. Reach the top – 11.30 pm

6. Lunch – 12.30 pm

7. Start back – 1 pm

8. Return to foothills – 3.30 pm

9. Leave for trichy – 4pm

10. Back to Union Club – 6.30 pm.

Registration Amt:Rs.1000 The trek cost includes to-and fro transport by Ac Tempo Traveler, breakfast & Lunch and local guides. Own vehicle - Rs.700 People coming by own vehicle should either be at Campion school at 5.30am or should be at Meikalnayakampatti village before 7am. The village is located on the Trichy-Namakkal highway and is about 20kms before Namakkal. We have to take a 15kms detour from here to reach the foothills.
